Runners World Summer Holiday Running Streak

If you have seen my last two weeks of #Proof recaps (Week 16 and Week 15) you will realize that my running hasn’t been up to par. This is because of a combination of factors (1) hip pain (2) lack of time (3) exhaustion (4) mental stress.

More times than not I put on my running shoes and hit the road to get over these life bumps. But I think my body has been telling me to slow down. Well now it’s time to get back on the horse. I don’t have the luxury to depend on a running buddy to push me to my next level. It’s only me (Looking for a running buddy if you’re out there).

Enjoying a summer run! Join Me!

So when I was asked to participate in the Runners World Summer Running Streak (2012) I thought that this is a good chance to get back on track. Really, what a great way to start off my Marathon training but with a group of people who love to run and to also share it with Runners World! (Check out my most recent post about a great article in Runners World)

Details on Runners World Running Streak:

Run at least one mile per day, every day, starting on Memorial Day (Monday, 5/28) and ending on Independence Day (Wednesday, 7/4). That’s 38 consecutive days of running.

If you are interested in participating in the Runners World Running Streak leave a comment so I can support you in your 38 day journey. Also connect with me, Amanda Rosenburg-Giovanis, on Dailymile. In the Dailymile message make sure you say you are part of the #RWRunStreak

Let’s support one another and hit the streets and trails and run some amazing miles!

If you are tweeting about your progress use the hashtag #RWRunStreak when you talk about the Summer Running Streak and progress.

Good luck to everyone partaking! Remember to run safe and always carry an ID!

  2. My running has been sub-par, too, for too long now. Sighh… I just might have to do this to get back into the habit!
